BellaLinda Gelateria Italiana

30 minutes away from the Las Vegas BLVD and its many tourist attractions, there’s this little town that only the locals really know about: Lake Las Vegas.

Which is crazy to me because it has so much potential and so much to do.

I mean, there’s not much driving into it, but once you get over the desert hills and abundance of rocks, you’ll come across a center of hotels, homes, little shops, restaurants, and of course, the lake. The buildings remind me of Nice, France with it’s water, and orange or beige colored structures. Even the architecture in the area is distinctly some kind of European in design, although I couldn’t find the exact inspiration when I tried to research it.

During the summer time they have a ton of events there including live concerts and sand castle competitions. They even have this water sports thing where they blow up this huge, and I mean, huge, obstacle course that you can complete. There’s cruises, and water jetpacks—and even this neon paddle thing which sounds part interesting and part awful, if we’re being honest. But hey, I’m afraid of the dark and water and this neon paddle thing is essentially you, in a boat, in the dark, with nothing but those neon necklaces and bracelets on, and everything about this sounds terrifying, haha. But I know a ton of people that would enjoy this.

In the heart of the area, nestled between the park and the water, is this cute little ice cream place that I just adore. It’s called Bellalinda Gelateria Italiana (I know, it’s a mouthful). They have an assortment of delicous treats such as gelato, sorbet, milkshake, crepes and even a panini gelato to coffee, espresso, cappuccino and affogato.

I highly recommend that everyone go there. Not only are the flavors amazing, but so are the views.
